Henry started skiing in the 90's on Canadian Coast Mountains, then in Whistler. He eventually became a ski instructor.
He waited 20+ years to try snowboarding. Tried it for the first time in January. Was a certified instructor by March. 🏂
Henry is also an e-foil instructor, and used to teach martial arts + scuba diving — apparently this is just a pattern with him at this point.

Could AI understand a snowboarder in motion?
We started with the problem riders know too well: you can feel something went wrong, but you often don’t know exactly what to fix.
The first version was built to read movement, not just record runs.
We tested boot-mounted sensing, motion signals, and the first ways to capture edge change, balance, pressure, and rhythm.
The mountain broke the clean assumptions.
Cold, wet snow, vibration, terrain changes, and different riding styles forced us to keep adjusting the hardware, algorithms, and feedback logic.
Every turn became training data.
With 1M+ turns across 25+ countries and 30+ resorts, Heygo began learning from real snowboard motion, not lab demos.
The hardest part was measuring board motion from the boot.
We modeled the boot and board as two 3D coordinate systems, then trained an algorithm to continuously map and correct the offset between them—without compromising data accuracy.
Next stop: real riders, real mountains.
Heygo is preparing for global launch, bringing its AI snowboard coach to riders, resorts, and snow communities around the world.
