It's a coach in your earpiece. You're mid heel-side turn, weight drifting back. A voice says: "Move your weight to your front foot now." You adjust. The board hooks up. Turn saved.
That's real-time: correction at the moment you need it, not when it's too late.


It can come in different forms.
  • Voice cues like "Bend knees more" or "Open shoulders" or "Five degrees more edge angle" are really helpful.
  • You also get beeps or tones. A beep when you are in the backseat and a high beep when you are centered.
  • Then there is the buzz which is like a gentle tap on your ankle or wrist to tell you something is off.

For beginners, correction comes on the second bad turn—not after the tenth fall. For experts, "lean more" becomes a number you can feel. Two seconds after the mistake, the move rewires. Two minutes later, it's already gone.


Real‑Time vs. After‑Session


Let’s compare these two approaches directly.

Round 1: Memory

After‑session: Someone throws a lot of things at you during skiing. They tell you about your back arm, your shoulders, your edge angle and more... You forget most of it before the next turn.
Real‑time: You get a hint right when you need it. "Close your arm." You fix it. Your body remembers because it happened while you were moving.

Round 2: Frustration

After‑session: You keep sliding down the ski run for two hours. Same mistake. Every turn. At lunch someone shows you a video. Says, "See? You’re not in control." You want to throw your phone.
Real‑time: On your failed turn you hear "Press your front foot – now." You do it. The board starts to work. You feel like a pro. That’s progress you can really feel, not just see on a screen.

Round 3: Learning Speed

After‑session: A typical lesson gives you maybe 5 to 10 corrections in an hour. This is because every fix means stopping, talking and then starting again. Lots of standing. Less time on the slopes.
Real‑time: You get 50, 60, 100 small corrections per hour. Every turn. Every small mistake. Every tiny success. That’s like having a coach watching every rep.

Round 4: Fun

After‑session: You spend half your morning sitting on the snow watching videos or listening to discussions while your toes get cold. Snow time is low. Frustration time is high.
Real‑time: You just keep riding. The feedback is in your ear, not getting in the way. You get better while you’re having fun. No stops. No freezing toes.

After-session video reviews still matter. When you look at videos of yourself snowboarding after a session, you can see things that you did not notice before.
